How do the chess pieces move?

Fogs of Otmoor chess pieces move in exactly the same way as regular chess pieces. En passant, pawn promotion, and castling are all supported. The moves (except castling) are depicted in the images below. For a more detailed discussion of how chess pieces move please see the official FIDE chess rules.

  Step-by-step

1.
Pawns and Knights have the most complex moves.

2.
The Bishop and the Rook are the simplest pieces, move wise.

3.
In addition to the basic moves shown for the King, there is also the castle where the King and the Rook move as a unit. Please see the Chess Rules (link above) for a description of castling.
