What is the "Joining" game attribute?
When you create a game you must decide who can join that game. Your options for this game attribute are:
Anyone may join the game
Any teammate may join the game
By invitation
When you set the Join attribute to By invitation you are restricting the game to just those players who you invite. You must explicitly invite players one of two ways:
Clicking the Invitation icon ( ) beside their name on the Find Player page
Submitting the Invitation form at the bottom of the game's Information page
You can invite the player to join either side, and you may give them the ability to also invite others. The player you invite will receive a notification message informing them of your invitation.
The other restrictive Join option is Any teammate may join the game. When you set this attribute, you must choose which of your teams will play as the Red team. If you have no teams, you must join or create at least one team before you can create a game where only your teammates can join.
The way Any teammate may join the game works, you first create the game. Then open it from your Inactive games box on your home page. Finally, join the game. When you click the Join icon (  ) a form opens that asks you to select which of your teams will play Red. Once you select a team and click submit, you have both joined the game, and made the game open to your teammates.
